I've finished my work on the Sweet Ballerina Heart! Now all that is left is to frame it!I added light blue bugle beads to the seam treatment on the left, and I added a Silk Ribbon Embroidery Motif that I created using sweetheart roses, french knot loop flowers, ribbon stitch leaves, and pink Swarovski crystals.
Then I made the heart into an applique (here is a link to how I did that) and I added a couple of bits of lace on opposite edges!
This looks sooo.... yummily beautiful!

That is all the instructions I have had and I have learned how in the last week after being referred by www.dandelion.avenue blogspot.com to go watch your spider ribbon rose. Mine look as good as yours, mine are just smaller becuase I have been using 2mm SR (1/16th ")& 4mm (1/8th") because I wanted really little roses for baby outfits and bonnets. I was failing dreadfully with buillion roses. I also have been able to copy your Iris and sweet heart roses and mine look just like yours. Thank you for being my SRE Teacher !!!

Thank you Auntie Pam!!! I'm so glad you were able to learn from my vids! You know I don't think I've ever made a spiderweb rose in 2mm, I bet it is so CUTE in that size! I'd really like to get more 2mm ribbon in my stash. So far I only have a few green shades so I've only done leaves! LOL
ReplyDeleteMelissa, I drew the same size circle & did a 2mm & a 4 mm & you really cann't tell the difference. I think with 2 mm you just use more ribbon. I did my 1st Preemie gown size 2.5 lbs for my neighbors new great grandaughter Kyara (1 lb 8oz)& bonnet. Use SRE spider roses across the brim of the bonnet. Sooooooooooooooooooooo precious & sweet. may put a couple on the gown front!!! Thanks again!!! Things like this is why I wanted to learn SRE. I am hooked!!

OH wow that sounds so sweet!!! I'm sure it's stunning! Have you tried the sweetheart rose? It's smaller than spiderweb roses, if I want a bigger one I use 7mm otherwise I use 4mm for them but I've also never tried that one in 2mm either so I don't know how it would work. I think I've tried it in the 13mm ribbon and it didn't work at all! LOL Pretty much all you can do with 13mm ribbon is do folded roses which are pretty too.
