You will probably try it sooner than I :)

(I just bought silk ribbons online, for the first time - there was a discount on 2mm, the size which is almost impossible to find now... But I decided they'll work for me just fine because the smaller things are the better I like them :) Same goes for tiny flowers :) I got some 4mm too though.)Lilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17042991317220456072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33190365.post-34249358226034560872012-04-14T11:07:32.791-07:002012-04-14T11:07:32.791-07:00Lila,

I especially love making tiny leaves in ribbon stitch in 2mm.
I would suggest trying it out, you might need to use a size smaller needle. Experiment on a scrap fabric and see if you can make it work. Also consider that it's half the width of the 4mm so all the ratios will be smaller for it in 2mm.
Let me know what you find...now you got me curious to try it out too. :)Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03924555921398610822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33190365.post-31496357100674550382012-04-14T10:53:12.605-07:002012-04-14T10:53:12.605-07:00Melissa, thank you for great tutorials :)
I have ...Melissa, thank you for great tutorials :)

I have a question: is it possible to make such rose with 2mm ribbon?

In general, it seems like a lot of tension/pressure on such a fine ribbon, or perhaps silk isn't as fragile as it seems and can handle it?

thank you :)Lilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17042991317220456072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33190365.post-30573432623540998402010-04-24T20:58:20.269-07:002010-04-24T20:58:20.269-07:00Honey Bee,

My suggestion would be to find a source to buy silk ribbon from.
MelissaMelissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03924555921398610822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33190365.post-32071057231092158902008-07-08T12:44:00.000-07:002008-07-08T12:44:00.000-07:00first Its a great site.
