Crazy Quilts and Puzzles: Is there a connection?

The other day I saw that Pat Winter was working on a Puzzle and it got me to thinking...
How many of us Crazy Quilters also share a love of doing puzzles? I know that most of the time we also share a love for flowers and a lot of the time gardening too, a love of old pretty things, lace, buttons, and the list could go on and on! LOL I know that my dear friend Wendy also loves to do puzzles and so do I, is it just a coincidence? One time when me and my hubby were working on a puzzle I told him that when I'm doing a puzzle it's a lot of the same feelings I have as when I'm working on a crazy quilt block...the feeling of accomplishment when you get just the right piece in just the right place, and the need to keep going...just one more piece...LOL!
So if you are reading this I'd love to hear from you, just leave a comment! I'm curious to know how many who love CQ also love puzzles or if you love one but hate the other? And why?
It will be so fun to hear your answers!

I love puzzles, too! We usually put one together between Christmas and New Year. For some reason, we never got around to it this year... must have been all the weaving supplies on the table!

Hmmmm, well I'm a crazy quilter and I love puzzles also... I haven't done any since I work full time and just don't take time to relax with a puzzle anymore but I had a pretty big stack to sell at our garage sale this summer!

I don't know if there is a connection but I do like doing jigsaw puzzles and Sudoku and I help my Mother do cryptic crosswords when I can.

Maybe crazy quilting and puzzles come from an enquiring mind?

I think there must be a connection as I also do both jigsaws and crazy patch. I also do crosswords.

Perhaps crazy quilters just need constant challenges? We have to be independent thinkers the way we pull things together without patterns or anything. I too enjoy cross words and word search books.I don't know, but it sounds like there is some connection to me. Nice puzzle! Have fun

I also love puzzles and crazy quilting. Bboxing Day however since hubby does not like puzzles, I went over to my school buddy (from the 60's) to help assemble the 'snow' scene in her 2000 piece puzzle. The scene reminded both her and me of our childhood days. I also love counted cross stitch, Sudoku (fun on Facebook!), crocheting, quilting and any handiwork. In fact there are few things i do not enjoy. However there does seem to be some connection with CQ and puzzles.
