The Craziness of Crazy Quilting

My friend of 15 years, Christina, also came for a visit and wanted to learn crazy quilting, embroidery, and tatting (a lot to squeeze into one visit)! Here I am teaching her! We had a blast!
Here is Joyce working on her blocks and Madie keeping her company. Madie likes to be in the middle of all the action and would sit in the unoccupied chairs with us.
Here is Madie again on a chair in the middle of the action! LOL
Here is Joyce and Christina busy working on their projects! There was lots of laughing and general giddiness! LOL Here is a video for proof of complete craziness! LOL Oh what fun it is to laugh and be silly while spending hours doing CQ together!

Joyce also made 2 large hearts to take home with her and work on! They are "his and hers" hearts.

Christina made a large 16 inch block that will become a pillow after embellishment.
She also made this green 8 inch block that will become a purse! Christina had to leave before completing the embellishments but I'm confident she will finish them on her own!
Here is Christina's first tatting!!! I'm SO SO SO proud!!! She picked up tatting pretty fast I'd say and I feel that she has learned enough that she will be able to continue learning on her own!
Christina also started a blog, Flamboyant Love! So if you are interested in getting to know her better or to see her future happenings hop on over say hello and subscribe to her blog!

Your friend, Christina, did a great job on her first tatted bit of lace.

So it wasn't just me who couldn't understand what you were saying? LOL All that laughter and happiness are contagious, you know? (I mean even to me here!). They learned very fast, see how pretty is what they did!

Hello Melissa,

Your tatting student learns quickly. Me think I need you to teach me too. VBG

I also enjoyed your Crazy Quilt teaching sessions with your friends. Great Blocks. They are very lucky to have you to teach them.

Take care Hugs Judy

Just found your blog, and I love it! Love crazy quilts, love the dog, and when I saw that tatting shuttle, I knew I'd be bookmarking!
