A Crazy Quilt Kind of Day

My sister Joyce wanted to do some CQ and couldn't decide on only one color scheme so I suggested 6 six inch blocks that way she could do several different ones! She loved the idea! I only had to show her how to piece and she was off!
Here are the 6 blocks! She's wanting to sew them all together in this order and make a tote bag for school. She's working on embellishing them now. You can click on the photo to see them better.
As we were busy being "crazy" Madie kept curling up in the fabric bin! I would get her out and then a little bit later there she was again! LOL So I finally took a photo of her and then made a "bed" for her on a chair with a pillow and blanket and then she was happy and stayed out of the fabric bin! LOL

Oh, my gosh! You are such a nice big sis! I would've loved to have had you for a big sis growing up! I couldn't get my sisters to show me crafty stuff no matter how hard I tried! I was always begging them to take me to the craft store, too! LOL! It looks like you two are having fun. I think the six different colored squares is a GREAT idea!

Hee hee hee!!! You got her addicted! It is too late Joyce, you have been assimilated. And why not? CQ is the BEST!!! Plus, who wouldn't want an adorable tote bag made by those beautiful blocks. She is a natural!!!
Silly Madie. I can understand though. That fabric bin looks awfully comfortable. "Madie, if you are going to CQ with Joyce you need to learn how to operate the sewing machine and not hog all the fabric. I realize she was using some of your favorites but sharing is what CQ is all about." LOL
Love you lots,
Wendy

Uhh :-) I'd have been undecided too! What a model your sister has! And how lovely that you two can share like that. Of course Madie wanted to be a part of that too! Can you blame her? LOL

Hope to see the progress!

I'm glad your sister is joining in the fun. I'm trying to transform my 5-yr old niece to have fun together stitching n tatting.

Madie is like mine - but he prefers freshly laundered clothes!!

It is always such fun when sharing esp with a sister, mine has only now started showing interest in embroidery, at the age of 49 but one is never to old to start.
