Cream and White Heart

I added in some seed beads to the vines and some Czech fire polished glass flower beads with some tiny white size 15 seed beads for the centers. The embellishment part is all finished now, and all I have left is to sew it into an applique!

Wow, you've been busy today. This is gorgeous. Is that a spiderweb rose? I watch one of your videos earlier. If I'm right, then that means I learned something new. LOL BTW I found my camera software...now let's see if I can get it all to work. Hi HO Hi HO it's off to work I go...

You got it!!! I used a spiderweb rose and the bullion tipped lazy daisies for buds I put a vid of that too. This was a fun little project, I'm actually making a couple of them as gifties for a couple of ladies who where in a RR with me. So as soon as this one is sewn into an applique it'll be sent out the door! As I was making it I remembered why I used to love making these hearts so I'll prob make a few more.

Gorgeous! I'm finding it hard to come up with ideas for embellishing my CQ block, but that's ok right now. I tried sewing on a little tatted lace the other day and found that I can't hold my arm and hand at the correct angle long enough to hand sew! Physical therapy starts tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll be picking your brain for ideas soon!

Absolutely awesome look and feel to this piece. Your sense of design and composition really comes through on this little piece!

Diane,
I totally understand! I had that too and still do sometimes. It's like a blank sheet at first, the more you browse around and look at eye candy and ideas and such and the more you do stuff the more that ideas will come easier. I'd be more than happy to share some ideas with you too that's so fun! One thing that really helps me is to have a theme for each block even if that theme is colors or certain flowers or just a overall "feel" of the block. I browse through vintage embroidery patterns too. You can even use just parts of embroidery patterns too like if you see a dog with a spray of flowers and you don't want the dog you just use the spray of flowers or vise versa.
