

I love the colors of this block! So soft and romantic, and I like the love letters fabric! I'm doing some tryouts with embellishments and I did some lace painting for it. I think I still need to fiddle with the color in the floral lace because it looks too pink when the tones in the block are warmer shades like peach and apricot. I also puffed up the envelope in the corner by making a slit in the foundation fabric and stuffing fiber fill inside it. I got that idea from Jo in NZ you can see her work
Here. I would never have thought to do that had she not blogged about doing it. I think it gives the envelope the look of containing some precious love letters long treasured.
